Lazy Lizard Hostel

The owner was so lovely and helpful. She sorted out a scooter rental for us, and extending our stay was easy. The breakfast was really, really good too. We'd definitely come back. It's a great hostel in a wonderful spot, close to restaurants and shops.

The family who run the hostel were so kind and accommodating, and made us feel at home. There's free water and coffee, and plenty of room to unwind or chat with other travelers. The common area is lovely, the facilities are good, and the place is clean, tucked into lots of greenery while still close to the beach. It's also well placed for exploring everything Siquijor has to offer. The dorms are quite basic, with no curtains and little room to store things, but they were clean. Really good value for money.

A nice spot to meet other travelers at the front of the hostel, and you can cook there too, which is a huge bonus. It's a short walk or drive from the main strip in San Juan, Siquijor. The beds are comfortable, but the dorm is pretty dark. They provide fans, not AC, so it can get hot sometimes. The bathrooms are outside, so watch out for mosquitoes.

The bamboo huts make it easy to unwind and sleep through the night. There are roosters around, like everywhere, but earplugs sort that out. The shared bathrooms are clean and close by, and breakfast was great, especially the banana pancakes. Service and the common room were lovely too. I had such a good five nights at Lazy Lizard. It's tucked away from the noisy main road, with restaurants less than a five minute walk away and anything else you need about a 15 minute walk away.
