The staff were friendly and helpful, and could arrange a transfer in their own vehicle or get a tuk-tuk for us. The resort is in a peaceful spot, but restaurants, bars, an ATM, the beach, laundry, and massage places are all an easy walk away. A nearby bar has live music in the evening, though it stops around 11 PM, so it wasn't a noise concern for us. We stayed for three nights. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. We ate breakfast and lunch at the restaurant, which also serves dinner and has a good range of choices. The food was good, and we had a pleasant stay.

I had a sad and uncomfortable stay. The staff were nice, but the manager was rude and dismissive, and I saw her yell at them. When I reported mold in the air conditioner, she came from home at 10 PM with three other people to inspect whether I was telling the truth. I asked if we could wait until morning, but she said no. Once we saw the mold, they insisted it wasn't harmful and said all their air conditioners had it. I also felt they lied and twisted things while talking to me, even though I was polite and only wanted a fair solution. There was a cockroach in the bathroom, and the mold made me cough and struggle to breathe, so I couldn't use the air conditioner. My room was by the road and traffic woke me very early. The beach wasn't maintained well and wasn't swimmable. The pool was boxed in between two walls. A bar beside the rooms played live music late. In my edit after their reply, I want to be clear that I never said I'd leave a bad review unless I got compensation. I would never do that, and I rarely leave bad reviews. I also didn't ask to cancel. Their replies to negative reviews seem to show a pattern of defensiveness and lying, which felt uncomfortable. It was the same behavior I experienced at the resort. You can get much better for your money. Go to La Candura, thank me later.

The rooms were spotless, with clean beds, fresh linens, and careful housekeeping. Hot water and Wi-Fi both worked reliably, and everything we expected to use was functioning without any problems. Debbie managed things well and coordination was smooth. The staff were genuinely friendly, and little touches like pink Himalayan salt and whole peppercorns on the tables showed they cared. Highly recommended.

San Juan is a great place, and Siquijor is well worth visiting. This spot is within walking distance of places to get wrecked, and the food at the baha bar next door is nice. The Starlink internet is great too.
