Be careful, we had a terrible experience with Regatta Residences. It’s no longer affiliated with OYO, Agoda, or other booking sites, and our booking was cancelled as a no-show even though we spent three hours in the middle of the night trying to locate the place and contact the owner. No one answered our calls or emails, and we don’t expect to get our payment back. We’d used Agoda for years and trusted them, so this was a shock. We asked Agoda to remove the fake listing so nobody else would get scammed, but nothing came of it. The location mix-up put our safety at risk, and we missed an important event because of all this. Be warned.

More than a year after renting their place in July 2019, our one-month deposit still hasn’t been returned. I contacted two of the owners. One said they’d help and that someone from the office would call, but it’s been two months and nobody has. Their parent company is cabanilla marketing development Corp. They’re also developing new regatta bay in Palawan. Think carefully before doing business with them. If top management can’t help with complaints, I’d worry about investing your savings in one of their properties.

I paid for a room through Expedia by credit card, but when I got there, there was no receptionist. Security told me no rooms were available, and I wasn’t refunded. Worst service and experience.

Oyo regatta isn’t operating. Watch out for Oyo, this was a traumatic experience of getting scammed.
