P and M Final Option Hotel

Our group of nine, five senior citizens and four other adults, chose the Valentine's Day dinner because friends had enjoyed the hotel's restaurant before. Some of those same friends later felt bad for recommending it. We’d been looking forward to the band and buffet, especially since several of us were balikbayans and hadn’t had this kind of event in a while. Dinner ran from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. We arrived around 7:00, registered, took photos at the booth backdrop, and were shown to a table by the beach. It seemed romantic at first, but the sand was so loose that half the monobloc chairs sank into it. That was especially hard on our senior companions. When we reached the buffet, much of the food was nearly gone, even though the event had only been going for an hour. I understand food can get eaten quickly, but it was disappointing. The dishes also weren’t as tasty or satisfying as we’d expected, and everyone in our group felt we’d wasted our time and money. I hope the property can use this experience to improve. These issues seem manageable. I’d like to return to the Philippines and LU someday and have the kind of good experience my friends had before, with a better story to share after my next visit.

For what they charge, the service and amenities just weren’t there. We spent three nights and had trouble arranging local tours. The hotel set us up with what felt like a major rip-off. Restaurant portions were tiny, and there were very few vegetarian choices. The toilet clogged, and the maintenance man didn’t know how to fix it, so we had to help. Afterward, housekeeping left the mess, and we had to ask someone to clean it. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or restaurant.

We stayed at Final Option in San Juan a month ago, in a room with two beds and a bunk bed. At first glance it looked clean and cozy, but the longer we were there, the more problems we noticed. The shower only had one side of the washroom covered, so whenever we showered the floor flooded. And since the top bunkbed

The room we booked was a bit dirty, but the welcome was lovely. They greeted us warmly and even gave us juice when we came in. Really good overall, and I’d stay here again.
