The rooms were lovely and nicely air conditioned. We could walk to a deep pool for swimming or practicing snorkelling. The food was okay, and the gym was great, with a free weight barbell, several dumbbells, and a few 45ls plates. We had a great stay, and I recommend it for a visit to Siquijor.

We were sorry we hadn’t extended our Siquijor trip. By the time we got to Dumaguete, we were bored, maybe because we’d already used up all our island adventures and reality came knocking. We’re looking forward to returning to Salamangka Resort with friends. We spent our honeymoon there May 11-14, 2026, and the service was excellent. Our Suite was spacious, smelled good, and was very comfortable, right in front of the pool. They’d arranged sweet swans, a honeymoon sign, and flowers on the bed. We really appreciated the effort. The restaurant served delicious food in big portions. I was sad to miss the Smoothie Bowls while we explored the island. The resort is at the edge of San Juan, but that worked out fine since we rented a Fazzio, which was a lifesaver and a great way to see Siquijor. Wendel the Bartender was especially hospitable, and the drinks were great.

We stayed in the Pangalwan room, which was huge, with a large king bed, two twin beds, and a nice bar area. It had a fridge, coffee maker and pods, tea, and drinks for purchase. The staff took excellent care of us, and the pool area was lovely for relaxing and watching the sunsets. The drinks were great too, and the bar staff were fantastic. The food was outstanding, especially the chefs' work. We loved the breakfast smoothie bowls, fresh squeezed orange juice, pizza, and pasta, all made fresh. Service can take a little longer, but that’s normal in the Philippines when everything is cooked to order, and it was worth the wait. We loved our relaxing, magical time at Salamangka Beach and Dive Resort in Siquijor. Highly recommend it!

Genesis at reception and John, who leads the team, were especially welcoming and friendly. Their professionalism and positive energy made a real difference, as did the helpful, kind staff who greeted us with warm smiles. The property was beautifully maintained and felt high class from the moment I arrived. I had an amazing stay at Salamangka Resort in Siquijor, and would highly recommend it for comfort, good service, and a memorable visit.

The gym, pool, and beach were good amenities. The beach is now swimmable for leisure, probably for snorkeling, though the pool gets deep very quickly. The stay itself was comfortable, and the rooms were fairly okay for the price. Still, would I recommend it? Meh. There are other choices on the island, so I’d probably check those first. The hotel policies were what I disliked. For a 4-star hotel, even the cheapest room should come with basics like a couple of face and hand towels and bathrobes. When I called to ask for a bathrobe, they weren't even sure it could be provided with our booking. The location is very far from the main area, so going back and forth daily is hard unless you hire a car or tricycle. Check your bill carefully. They apparently don't check it properly, and there was an issue with ours that we caught in time. The restaurant choices are limited, and the food is expensive and bad. I wouldn't eat there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
