Big Creek Mansion

We stayed for four days in February, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location is prime, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Island hopping wasn't allowed because of the weather during our stay, so the staff helped us find motorcycles for other activities. Once they learned whether boating was allowed, they signed us up and got us on a boat. My only negative feedback is the construction.

The hotel staff were the only positive. The manager's children seemed to be running the place themselves, but they were kind and helpful. They cooked breakfast and brought it to our bedroom doors, and offered us different rooms after we complained about the beds. The rooms were the worst I've seen so far. WiFi was free but I couldn't stay connected for more than a minute. The bathroom's glass window was missing, with a cardboard box taped over the hole. Ants covered the beds, almost every two inches of the mattresses, and the next morning there were even more on us, the walls, and in our bags. The toilet seat was moldy, and a random door in the room opened onto the back alley.

Terrible place. The room was tiny, with cobwebs around the ceiling and mold around the shower taps and soap holder. The toilet roll holder was broken, and the shower water pressure was painfully slow. The only good thing was the AC. The staff didn't even greet us when we arrived, and mosquitoes swarmed from reception to the lobby. They have WiFi, but it didn't work in the room, only outside where the mosquitoes were everywhere. Not a happy customer.

We couldn't stay at Greenfield villa for some reason, so we stayed at Big creek instead, which is run by the same people. The rooms are a good size and have hot showers. There's construction going on since the place is still being developed, but the staff are nice and the pancakes are yummy.
