VCG Hotel

We paid ₱6,500 for four rooms for the whole family, hoping for a peaceful getaway at a private water park resort. My mom booked it as a special treat for us, but the place smelled bad almost everywhere, indoors and out, and was hard to enjoy. The rooms weren’t ready when we arrived. One had a cockroach, the bedsheets were dirty, and trash was still in the bathrooms. There was no outside lock on the door, so we didn’t feel safe. The place looked neglected and almost abandoned, and the only pool was just 3ft deep. When we asked about the condition, staff said, “we’re renovating”. Looking through older reviews after we arrived, we saw the same explanation from years ago. It feels like ongoing neglect, rather than renovation. This didn’t come close to a real 3-star experience, and barely met 1 star standards. We left frustrated and feeling misled. I feel sorry for my mom, who trusted the photos and rating and thought she was doing something special for us. She didn’t deserve to be misled, and neither did we. There are far better places for your money and peace of mind, so please don’t make the same mistake.

The room was overpriced, the pools were dirty, and the customer service was awful. Yikes. I’ll never come back.

We arrived late, around 10pm, and were welcomed by a very quiet, dark road leading to the venue. There were no signs showing where to turn or clear directions to parking. Staff to welcome or assist us were lacking, and those service and area problems should be addressed. The only thing they helped with was taking payment for the room, then dealing with the disorganized, cluttered parking area. There were no televisions, Wi-Fi, food to order from a list, or phone to contact the front desk. The doors were broken, and both the rooms and restrooms were unclean and untidy. I doubt we’ll ever come back to this dirty resort.
