The beach felt pretty far from the resort, maybe because of the season, I'm not sure. We went left toward the river, since the water straight out from the resort gets deep. Back at the resort, the rooms were spacious and the place was clean. We liked having a bar and restaurant for hot food beyond what we'd brought along, and the pool and billiards were available for unlimited use.

The place itself was great, but I wouldn't recommend the service. Some staff just sat around chatting.

We booked on short notice after a friend visiting from out of town surprised us. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, the food was great, and the beer was cold. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The rooms aren't especially large, but you're at a beach resort, not to spend all your time indoors. The beach was lovely, with good surfing waves. I'll definitely return.

The main reason I recommend Mope is seeing other Filipino families choose to stay there. The rooms and facilities are clean and well looked after by diligent staff, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's right on a sandy beach, the owners are personable and good people, and the food is good at more than reasonable prices. I highly recommend giving Mope a try.
