Green Meadows Hotel & Restaurant

Close to Laoag, this was a fantastic place to stay. The rooms were okay, service was good, and the restaurant's food was excellent. The crew were very helpful and had great customer service.

The toilet was clogged, and there was no receptionist available 24/7. I never got my key deposit back. The internet was slow, outside noise carried into the room, and the TV picture was blurry. The water comes from a deep well and smelled a little, so I couldn't use it to brush my teeth.

We booked at the last minute for one night because our house had a power outage. This was the closest affordable option. From the outside, the property looked clean, lively, and nicely decorated. The booking site said it was accessible, but it wasn't. The staff were friendly and would try to help, but they didn't handle our complaints or feedback well. They may not have had enough hospitality training for situations like that. Our room had bedbugs, bathroom flooding and drainage trouble, plus problems with the Wi-Fi and TV. The staff didn't resolve these issues well. We weren't asking for compensation, just a reasonable fix so the short stay could be more comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, especially since we paid extra, and getting it involved another unnecessary hassle. I wouldn't recommend the place if room problems aren't handled properly. I imagine other guests might agree. It's a shame, since the owner seems to have spent a fortune renovating the rooms.

A beautiful hotel, and they're renovating it now. It'll be beautiful, and we'll definitely come back.
