The room was already ready when we arrived around 2 p.m., tired from the boat ride, and it was nice to start our three-day, two-night island tour with a quiet night here. The road from the pier ends in a short dirt track that gets muddy when it rains, but that feels like part of island life. The room was small but comfortable, painted green, with a lovely garden view and a soft bed that gave us a deep, restful sleep. There’s no cable, but the Smart TV can play YouTube or Netflix if you log in with your own account. The Wi-Fi took some figuring out: there are three networks, and which one worked best seemed to depend on your phone. The place has a simple, comforting feel. The night guard was especially kind and attentive, and seemed to do everything, from guarding to helping in the store and looking after the place. The small canteen sells basics like bottled water, snacks, soap, toothpaste, and a few cooked dishes. We didn’t try the food because we booked through Agoda, which apparently didn’t include the “free” breakfast. It was a little ironic, but didn’t spoil our stay. The beach is a short walk away, with nipa cottages and benches where you can just sit and do nothing. There’s also an outdoor faucet to rinse the sand off and a front porch table in the garden, small touches that made the place feel personal. It doesn’t have modern luxuries, but the friendly people, sea breeze, and homey room made it a peaceful break from Cebu City’s noise and pace.

We had a great stay at NorthVille Beach Resort by Cocotel. The rooms were cozy and comfortable for a quick getaway, and the resort felt peaceful and family-friendly. The staff were courteous and accommodating. Outside, the beach was clean, with palm trees and colorful flags giving it a festive tropical feel. The clear water and powdery white sand are only a few steps away, great for swimming, relaxing, or taking in the view. We’d happily come back.

I spent one night here on vacation. The island surroundings were peaceful, the locals were kind, and the dogs were so cute. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. I was working during the stay, though, and the lack of internet was a problem. There were also too many mosquitoes indoors. It was a nice stay overall, but better internet and mosquito control would make a difference.

The staff were kind and understood the situation, and they’re the only reason I stayed the full 10 days, especially since there was no refund. But the room and bathroom at northville were nasty, and living there was a nightmare. The owner knew about the problems but seemed unmoved, only caring about the money earned from the hotel. Please avoid staying here if you can. I hope the owner fixes it.

The place is right on the beach, but it’s badly lacking in amenities. All they had was instant coffee with no creamer, and a neighbor started loud karaoke at 8:00am. I couldn’t get away fast enough. I wouldn’t recommend it.
