Dreamwave Hotel Santiago

The staff were still friendly, but this visit wasn't as enjoyable as my usual stays at this hotel in Santiago, Isabela. I've always liked the rooms, comfortable beds, working hot shower, and welcoming staff. This time the air conditioner cooled well and the water was hot, but the mattress felt a bit less comfortable, maybe because it's old. There was no proper holder for the shower head, so I had to hold it while bathing. In room 338, floor tiles were lifting, and light from the main corridor came through the side of the door frame, which I assume is damaged or warped with age.

The internet worked well, and the location was convenient, but parking space was lacking. Arriving early, between 6 and 9 in the morning, means a charge of 300 per hour until 10 am, before the regular room charge starts. Check-in only gives you 21 hours, which didn't feel worth it. The air conditioner seemed defective, and noise from nearby rooms carried through. There was no phone to call the front desk with concerns.

The deluxe room was spacious, and the bathroom was large too, though insects can get in from outside. I could hear noise from rooms along the walkway. There was complimentary bottled water, but no free breakfast. The hotel is very accessible, right in the city center.

Friendly staff and lots of parking. The location is great, right above Savemore grocery.
