Oryza Hotel

I paid more here than at Mango Suites, so I expected a lot better. There was no internet during my stay, and the TV had no signal, even though those seem like basic amenities. The extra bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to rest. For what I paid, the stay wasn't reliable or comfortable enough to be worth the cost. I hope management addresses these problems.

The room was a good size, with decent appointments, and both the hot water flow and aircon worked well. Staff were polite and nice, but service seemed beyond them. Even getting a cup of ice was too much to ask. The room itself is about all the hotel has to offer.

Our Mom recommended this place, so we expected good service, but this stay was disgusting. We hadn't even checked out yet and already wanted the nightmare to end. Please hire better cleaning and maintenance staff. Nakakadiri. The electronic keycards in some of our rooms were defective, and the bathroom supplies were inadequate and unsanitary. The shower head was cracked and didn't spread water properly; the handheld shower had no head, and my sister said dark water came out when she used it. Our bathroom also had no hot water. We asked for a spare part and it never arrived. We requested a room change because of these major problems, but they charged us PHP 4000 for the transfer. Ang kakapal ng mga mukha. We had to ask for basic things like extra towels and toiletries, since supplies were only provided for one person instead of three. We also requested a bath mat and were handed a very dirty one that looked like it had been used for a week.

The service was friendly and accommodating, and my room was a good size with a nice view. In a tropical climate, I did have a few small “visitors.” The hotel is in the country, with no major hotel nearby, and it seems to know what it is. If you want more than basic amenities, this probably isn't for you. Breakfast choices are limited, and you need to put in your request the night before. Maybe the breakfast cook isn't always available. The linen was worn and stained, and the hot water was tepid.
