I first stayed here in 2023 and came back yesterday in 2025. I've ridden my motorcycle more than 20,000 kilometers all over the Philippines, and Sugar Lounge is still one of my favorite spots. The cabins are thoughtfully designed, with a native style that fits this little bit of paradise. It's beautiful, calm, and quiet right on the beach. The food was great, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to disconnect and relax in nature. Follow the road all the way to the end and watch for the sign on the left. Next stop, paradise.

I get so relaxed at the lounge, I'm always napping hahaha. The owner is super accommodating, and Chili the cat and the resident dogs are so friendly. I'd recommend staying here if you like things calm, with no videoke around.

There were hardly any guests when I visited in Apr-25, and for a while I was the only one. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and there was internet. Lots of other restaurants are within walking distance. I looked around a bit. Save yourself some time, Sugar Beach was the best for swimming. Campoquino Viewing Deck has a nice viewpoint, but its beach isn't as good as Sugar Beach. You can hire a MB from Sulu Sunset Beach Resort.

There isn't much to do here, and that's actually great. You can settle into the quiet, with a stunning beach and not many people around. Most of the tourists were Filipinos. The cabins are beautifully built, open to nature and the gorgeous surroundings, but still felt private. You can close them with bamboo screens, so privacy wasn't an issue. Beat and the team were kind and accommodating. We had lovely conversations and really enjoyed our time. The food was tasty, made with fresh ingredients and care. The cabin had no aircon, but even during the intense heat, the open design kept the nights cool. The bed was good, the shower had proper pressure, and there's a comfortable deck to relax on. The whole place is very well done aesthetically.

A tropical garden, goats, and a laid back bar give this place a lot of charm. It's lovely for a quiet stay surrounded by greenery, with good drinks and healthy food. They also have a solid Starlink connection, plus a desk and office chair for working. I'll definitely be back.
