High Steps Pension

We found the pension house comfortable and affordable, with clean, cozy rooms and a really relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly. I'd happily recommend it.

The accommodation is decent enough, and its elevated position gives you a view of the beach. Just be aware that it's across the road from the shore, so there's no beach access. The ramp leading up to the main building is quite steep.

Getting there by public or private transport is easy, though be ready for a hike up once you arrive. The climb is worth it for the terrific view and the chance to relax away from the city. Inside, the room is spacious and well cared for, with a big private bathroom and shower. The mini kitchen has everything you need too.

High Steps Pension, Catmondaan, Cebu worked well for our one-night family stay. There were three adults and two toddlers, and the owner was understanding and let us add extra guests for a reasonable charge. The view from our high-up room was beautiful, and the balcony was a lovely spot to enjoy it. We also appreciated the complimentary water. The room had a kitchen with basic things for cooking, and the pension is close to the main highway, so buses are easy to catch. The owner answered my questions quickly and gave us directions. It's a relaxing place near the ocean, and we enjoyed the stay. There's no TV or Wi-Fi, which didn't bother us since we were cooking and looking at the view. The steep, high setting does mean children need an adult with them on the balcony for safety. We'd like to come back.
