Villa Isabel Hotel

Manager Etrjc was very accommodating and even waived some corkages, which we appreciated. Still, we paid and prepared for a special event, my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and the service needs to improve. The Function Hall smelled musty and didn't look well maintained. We also saw cockroaches when we went to check out the room. After our downpayment, they said they'd send the event proposal, but it never came despite our following up several times. During the event, guests were getting hot, so we asked repeatedly about the air conditioning. After the fourth complaint, they checked both ACs and found them off, but turned on only one, so it stayed a bit hot. Our lechon arrived at 930 for the 12pm event, but when lunch started, they said it was still being chopped. The buffet food wasn't refilled proactively, and we had to ask.

The service was somewhat fine, but the water supply was the worst part. On two different nights they couldn't fix it, even after telling us it would be sorted. Breakfast had limited choices, and we had to walk outside to the 2nd floor to have our order served. That's what I experienced over 4 days and 4 nights.

I won't return or recommend this hotel. We reserved a deluxe room with a bathtub and a quiet setting, but were put in a tiny room with ants everywhere, a broken sink and shower, no bathtub, street noise, and background music playing all night. The front desk said our reserved room was under construction, but that's the hotel's responsibility. Instead, they asked us to pay more for another room. The check-out time was also misleading, since it differed between the confirmation and the actual site. The advertisement and reservation process seemed appealing, but the stay was the opposite.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we had a great experience.
