The Grande Suites

The room was clean, the hot water worked, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Front desk staff gave me great service and helped book a massage as soon as I checked in. The TV didn't work, though, and I really wanted to relax and watch it at night, so that's why I gave 4/5 stars.

I booked an overnight stay with breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast tasted good, and all the staff were really friendly. The bathroom facilities need upgrading, and none of the TV channels worked. Staff couldn't fix the TV during my stay. Still, the place is worth recommending.

Check-in and checkout were flawless, and the staff were welcoming, professional, and respectful. We had a clean, tidy room on the second floor of three. It would've been nice to arrive to a room with the A/C already on. The bed was very comfortable, though it only had two pillows. Towels were provided, along with a small bottle of 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and a bar of soap. The rainfall shower was perfect, with a strong flow and warm water if wanted. It's a little far from convenience, but a 10 minute trike ride takes care of that. Trikes are about three minutes' walk from the front door. There's also a restaurant about 100m down the road, more of a pub/bar setup with loud music and live entertainment. We chose the place thinking it had a restaurant with a bar because the booking agent's photos showed one. When we asked where it was, we were told they never had such a thing. It's a lovely place and a lovely stay, but that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

The room was spacious and clean, and it's a good spot for travelers who want to avoid city noise. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to Surigao City.
