The room itself was clean, including the toilet, and the sheets were in good shape with no mold. I only stayed one night after booking through Agoda.com, but the listing didn't make it clear that there was both an older and a newer building. It showed photos of each, yet I didn't know which one I was getting until check-in. We ended up in the older, more worn building, though that part wasn't a major issue for me. I judge a room by cleanliness, fresh linens, and the basics. There wasn't an electric kettle for coffee, which is something I've found even in cheaper hotels here and abroad. I'd have preferred a hair dryer and kettle instead of the refrigerator. The front desk and restaurant staff were courteous, and check-in went smoothly. What bothered me was asking for a bathrobe because I'd forgotten my sleepwear and being told they couldn't provide one in the old building. I pushed back, and they eventually brought one, but it left me wondering if guests in the new building would have received it without an argument. We also paid for an in-room massage. The service was outsourced, since the hotel doesn't have its own spa, and the massage itself was very good and relaxing. But the therapist expected us to provide our own bath towels. At other hotels, the massage staff have brought linens to cover the bed and extra towels, which seems reasonable given how much this service cost. The hotel looks five-star, but those service issues felt two-star to me. Please work on the things I've mentioned, since they seem easy to fix. I'll still come back, mainly because I disliked the hotel I stayed at here two months ago even more. Thanks.

Aldrin and Aileen were attentive and helped sort out the broken key card without judging us. The issue got resolved, but I was disappointed by the receptionist or operator's attitude. When I asked for help, Emily was rude and immediately asked if I knew there would be a charge, even though the old, flimsy card breaking wasn't my fault. A bad experience with customer service.

The typhoon canceled every ferry that day, so we couldn't get to the hotel. We contacted the hotel right away, and they agreed to cancel, telling us to submit the request through Booking.com. After I did that, the hotel said nothing had come through. I sent the request again and got the same answer. Now Booking.com and the hotel are blaming each other, and neither side is replying. It's very disappointing and unprofessional. Having our vacation disrupted by the typhoon was already frustrating. It's even worse that the hotel and Booking.com haven't helped us.

I booked a luxury king room and was given one with no windows, facing a wall. At check-in I repeatedly asked whether any other rooms were available, and was told there weren't. But when I asked to switch rooms, one suddenly turned up. The staff were also very unpleasant. This place's low rating makes sense.

The room wasn't clean or properly tidied when I arrived. After sleeping in the bed, I've been itchy and developed rashes. I expected better from a hotel, and found the stay very disappointing.
