Tropical Stay Accommodations

It’s a bit out of the way, but I found a driver, saved his number, and had rides whenever I needed them. The place was super clean and quiet, set off the road. I was new to the area and stayed several nights, and the staff were wonderfully helpful and good-natured. I’m planning to return to Phils in Sept, and I’ll be staying here again. It was a very nice experience.

I know it’s a motel, but I liked staying here. It’s affordable and clean, with clean sheets, towels, rooms, and toilet. The AC gets very cold, there’s parking for a motorcycle, and it’s in the middle of tagbilaran. There’s high speed internet if you ask for a room where Wi-Fi reaches, plus free drinking water. A couple of things could be better: the toilet is super slippery and needs an anti-slip mat, and it should have a bidet. The Wi-Fi router could also be upgraded so more rooms can get internet. Still, kudos to this place for backpackers.

The rooms are poor and very basic, though clean because everything is new. There’s just a bed, small table, two chairs, and TV, with nothing else. The Wi-Fi barely works, sometimes there’s no connection, and the CR is poor. There’s nothing nearby, so you have to order a taxi every time.

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. It’s a 10-minute drive to the port, but the area isn’t very good and you have to catch tricycles on the street to get anywhere. The showers don’t have warm water.
