Red Planet BGC The Fort

The room was clean, and the hot shower was excellent. The lobby welcome was fine, and staff handled check-in efficiently, though nothing about it stood out. But with almost nowhere to put belongings, the room felt made for travelers carrying very little. The thin walls made privacy a problem. We could hear neighbors clearly, even whispering, and the noise from the room above was something else. For about thirty minutes there was furniture being moved around up there. I assume it was housekeeping, who I don’t blame, but even headphones at full volume barely let me hear my conference call. I nearly went upstairs to offer a hand just to get it over with. We were there for only two nights, thankfully. At checkout around 8 in the morning, the receptionist did process it, but seemed like she’d rather still be asleep on a Sunday. Red Planet has clean rooms and a great hot shower, but the lack of storage, thin walls, and noise made this feel more like a brief space mission than a restful hotel stay.

On my second stay at Red Planet BGC Fort, the front desk staff were still great. The woman who checked me in remembered me, which made the welcome feel personal. I was glad to be on a lower floor this time, since getting in and out meant less waiting for the elevator. Free parking was another big help, and my visitors had no trouble finding a spot. Housekeeping was the one issue. The person assigned to my floor usually cleaned late in the day, and towels were missing from my room twice. I wasn’t sure whether he couldn’t or didn’t want to bring fresh ones when I asked. That was inconvenient because the towels stayed wet after the first or second use. The rooms were cleaned, though. Otherwise, I was comfortable and would return, especially for the friendly front desk staff and doorman, and the safe, convenient location. Thanks, see you soon.

The location is a big part of why I’d stay at Red Planet BGC Fort again. You can walk or grab a ride to most major shops, cafés, and restaurants in BGC, and the grab lockers make food drop-offs easy. For the price, service, and convenience, it’s a solid choice. I’d recommend it to our passengers and other flight crew. The doormen were quick to help, and staff greeted me and held the elevator when they saw me coming. My room was clean, with a firm but comfortable bed, strong air conditioning, good water pressure, and WiFi that handled work calls and streaming. The front desk combined my two reservations so I didn’t have to change rooms, and you can ask for cleaning by app or phone. The elevators sometimes take a while or stop on random floors. Also, the room window can’t be opened to let in fresh air or clear steam after a hot shower. Still, I had a lovely stay and would come back without hesitation.

The smart TV was especially handy for casting my apps, and the air conditioning kept the room nicely cool. It was clean and comfortable, with courteous, polite staff who were warm and accommodating throughout. The location is accessible, and the stay was very affordable for the quality. I really enjoyed it, and I’d choose Red Planet again if I’m back in BGC.
