The room wasn't ready properly: the floor was so dirty our feet got stained, the mirrors hadn't been cleaned, and there was still bottled water left in the room when we arrived. We were also missing basics like toilet paper and towels. Friends who work as hoteliers at Dusit, including several managers, commented on how unclean it was. This was meant to be a special bridal shower for my cousin, but the whole thing left her frustrated and disappointed. Her wedding coordinator had also reserved the hotel for preparations on the wedding day, and she's now considering canceling and moving that booking elsewhere in Tagum. The room, staff, and service don't justify the amount charged. I booked the room for my cousin's surprise bridal shower. At check-in, the receptionist quoted a special wedding shower price of Php 1,499 for 12 hours. Looking at the price list later, I think it was the "Wash Up C" room category. We weren't planning to sleep over, just use the room for all 12 hours and stay until 11 PM. Then an employee knocked and said visits had to end at 10 PM, and we'd owe 350 pesos per person to stay until 11. The front desk hadn't mentioned that limit, so we were surprised. We thought we had the room for the full 12 hours and would have planned differently if we'd known. We raised it at the desk, drawing on the bride's experience in hospitality. Guests should hear about rules and extra charges before checking in. I also found the service poor. A staff member said the front desk had called our room, but we couldn't understand why there'd been no ringing phone. The TV volume was low, and my friends and I were only chatting together, so we likely would have heard it. I was dissatisfied with the service and suggested waiving the charge given all these problems.

The room was dirty enough to stain our feet, the mirrors hadn't been cleaned, and bottled water had been left behind. Towels were missing, too, and the hoteliers from Dusit in our group, several of them managers, noticed how poorly cleaned the room was. I felt embarrassed, and my surprise bridal shower turned into frustration and disappointment instead of the happy occasion I'd hoped for. My wedding coordinator had booked the hotel for preparations on my wedding day, but I'm now thinking of canceling and moving that reservation to another place in Tagum. The room, staff, and service don't merit the amount I'd have to pay. My friend booked the room for my surprise bridal shower. At check-in, the receptionist offered a bridal shower rate of Php 1,499 for 12 hours. From the price list, I think this was the "Wash Up C" room category. We planned to use the room until 11 PM, not stay overnight, and thought we had it for the full 12 hours. Later, a staff member knocked and said visiting hours ended at 10 PM, with an extra 350 pesos per person to stay until 11. The receptionist hadn't told us about that cutoff, and we would have arranged things differently if we had known. I brought up the issue at the front desk based on my past work in hospitality. Hotel rules and fees should be explained before check-in so guests aren't caught by surprise. The customer service also fell short. A staff member said the front desk had contacted our room, but there was no ringing phone. The TV was quiet, and my friends and I were just talking during our reunion, so we would have heard it. I was disappointed with the service and suggested waiving the charge because of the problems during our stay.

I was traveling alone from Singapore to meet my cousin, and my twin room was cozy with plenty of space for two. My stay was very pleasant. The host was friendly and did her best even though I couldn't speak Tagalog or Bisaya. The warm and white light options were a nice touch. The air conditioner is old-fashioned and adjusted on the unit itself, but it worked really strongly. This is a budget hotel, so don't expect automatic housekeeping; you have to request it. There was one bin in the room and one in the toilet, and you need to take your rubbish downstairs yourself. The next morning is probably the easiest time. Without housekeeping, used mugs and sheets, pillowcases, and towels aren't replaced, and neither are the water bottles or coffee sachets. There's no wardrobe or dedicated place to hang clothes, which didn't matter much for me as a solo traveler but could matter to families or casual travelers. The door lock was a little difficult at first, though I got used to locking and unlocking it after a few tries. The shower temperature shifted unpredictably from cold to hot, with no proper way to control it, and the shower heads seemed clogged. I hope they replace them soon. They offer shuttle service to Davao Airport. I paid 2700₱, including roughly 500₱ for gasoline, for a pickup I requested at 2 AM. It may not be a literal shuttle bus, though, since they sent a car for me. You might find cheaper hotels online, but Lucky 9 felt safe and decent. Keep in mind it's a budget place, so don't expect top-tier service. If you want housekeeping and high-end service, go to Corporate 8 💀. For cutting expenses while still having a comfortable place to return to, Lucky 9 works for me. I booked a twin bed room, so other rooms may be a different experience. I'd recommend it 👍🏼. Thank you po.

The room was clean and spacious. There's private parking and an accessible smoking area.

The beds were super comfortable, and we got free Wi-Fi, coffee on arrival, and parking. The room was spacious, clean, and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was lunch: they only serve breakfast and dinner, and told me to order online and have it delivered. We went out looking for restaurants, but there weren't any close by, so we ended up getting biscuits and drinks from the sari-sari store across from the hotel.
