The booking I made through the OYO app couldn’t be found when we arrived, so after a wet, exhausting trip we ended up paying as walk-in guests. We got there around 3 a.m. after seven hours on the road, in heavy rain. I was seven months pregnant, with children and an elderly person in the van, and there was no proper office; rain was pouring on us while we tried to check in. The family room was below standard, and the roof needs fixing, especially for rainy season. The place felt untidy and inconvenient, with no roof in the area. We slept around 3 and had to get up before 6 for a burial at 8. There was no free breakfast, and after buying food when we woke up, it took two hours to arrive. Service was poor from most of the staff, though one motherly staff member was kind.

The place is new and clean, and the staff were welcoming. I stayed here last week. It’s a little tucked away, but I’d recommend it if you’re visiting Tagum City and looking for a budget-friendly option.
