There’s no food available, though the beach is close. Getting there and back is quite an adventure since the path goes through what’s basically a garbage dump. The rooms were clean and nice, but small.

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s only a 2-minute walk to the beach, and the price is affordable compared with how expensive the other places are. You get what you pay for.

The owner went out of their way to help us with a personal problem. We’d left something behind, and they mailed it back to us in Cebu without taking any payment. That kind of care really stood out. Alona Grove Tourist Inn is an economical, quiet place just a short walk from Alona Beach. Our modest room was comfortably furnished, and the cable TV had a good selection of international movies for unwinding after a sunny day. The price was very reasonable, too. We could enjoy the beach nightlife and still get a peaceful night’s sleep. A cozy little gem, with lovely hospitality and great value. Highly recommended.

They put us in one of the old rooms, and it smelled bad. The AC couldn’t cool it properly either. Then they shut off the water, and we had to find someone to turn it back on. Imagine being in the middle of a shower on your last day and having the water suddenly stop 😐.

The room was spacious and a nice place to relax, and the beach is within walking distance. But getting there by car is difficult because the road from the highway to the accommodation is narrow. We stayed three nights. On the first day the linens smelled bad, so we asked for a change. It was almost midnight and we couldn’t reach the caretaker, so we had to wait until the next day for fresh linens.
