Fun Hotel

The room is affordable, looks aesthetic, and is within walking distance of Alona Beach. Plated breakfast is included. A few things bothered us, though: the bathroom faucet water was salty, the towels left lint, and the lobby is open to the public. Most appliances have Chinese characters, but translations are provided, including for the aircon remote. There’s no TV.

I stayed for two weeks with my siblings, and we were totally satisfied. The hotel feels like home, with welcoming, friendly staff, comfortable beds, very clean rooms, and cool AC. It’s close to everything in Panglao centre. Breakfast could be improved for guests staying longer. Highly recommend, and I’m excited to come back in December. Thanks to the whole staff.

The staff were welcoming and really friendly, and the breakfast menu had five options, mostly Filipino breakfasts plus an American one. My daughter and I enjoyed the Filipino breakfast each day, while my Filipina wife was disappointed with her Filipino choices every time. For the nightly price, this new looking hotel has a lot of potential, and Alona beach is only a 10 minute walk away. Our room on the 1st floor, or 2nd for Americans, looked great at first, but closer up we weren’t satisfied with the cleanliness. During our 3 night stay there was no housekeeping, and we found garbage under the beds that wasn’t ours. The airconditioner is in Korean. There’s a paper explaining the buttons, but you can’t tell which setting is selected. It worked poorly, and even set to 16 degrees celcius, I don’t think the room ever got below 25 degrees. We were given just one room key, and it also had to be in place for the power to work, so we couldn’t cool the room before coming back. The mini fridge was pretty useless for the same reason. Eating or drinking in the room isn’t allowed, and you’ll be charged if you stain something. You can also be charged for dirtying towels by putting them on the floor, even though the shower mat looked dirty and barely held water. I still gave it 4 stars because the price was right for what we got, but the poor aircon and lack of housekeeping nearly brought it down to 3.

The staff were superb, friendly and attentive, and made us feel right at home. The location is great too, with a nice area that added to our stay. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the food selection was fantastic, from sandwiches to authentic Filipino dishes that really delighted us. I can confidently say it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Highly recommend for a fun, memorable getaway! ❣️❣️❣️
