Henann Resort Alona Beach

We especially liked how easy it was to get to restaurants, shops, and stores nearby without needing transport everywhere. Henann Resort Alona Beach was one of our favorite places on our Philippines trip. It was clean, well cared for, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The beach was beautiful and a real highlight. It was easy to relax, enjoy the water, and take in the scenery. We also thought the food was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to make the service outstanding. One of the best resorts we stayed at in the Philippines. We’d gladly come back and recommend it to others visiting the area.

We visited close to Chinese New Year, so the hotel was quite full. The buffet had a wide range of resort-style options, and there was also an à la carte restaurant, though we didn’t get to try it. The gym was impressively well equipped, a great bonus. The pool area by the beach was beautiful, and the adults-only pool for guests 16 and up offered a quieter option. The property was very clean, including its modern, well-maintained bathrooms and showers. Staff were polite, attentive, and always ready to help. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel.

12/2025 I came to Henann Resort Alona Beach for two beautiful days to visit my fiancée, and it became one of the most meaningful stops of our journey. Bohol is especially dear to us because she was born and raised on the island. Our balcony room looked over the pool and was gorgeous, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. It gave us a quiet, romantic place to relax together. The pool was stunning too, and swimming side by side under the palm trees felt like a dream. Returning to the Philippines, where I had a humble childhood, after building a life in the USA fills me with gratitude. Sharing this peaceful Bohol paradise meant everything to us, and we’ll always cherish it. We hope to return one day and retire here. Highly recommended, a true five-star experience. 🌴

We were comfortable and enjoyed our six-night family stay overall. Housekeeping was quick and attentive whenever we asked for anything. I also appreciated how honest and professional they were: my son left the safe open one day, and even though the room had clearly been cleaned, nothing was missing. The breakfast buffet had decent choices. Between the two dining areas, Coral Cafe felt more welcoming and accommodating than Sea Breeze Cafe. For families, the beach pool staying open until midnight is a big plus, especially for kids with energy left after dinner. One caution: don’t order pool bar snacks, especially french fries, when you’re hungry. Ours took more than 30 minutes. My main concern was the extra costs for tours and services arranged through the travel agency partners. At other hotels, those partners usually have independent desks or kiosks, which makes the prices feel clearer. This setup felt less straightforward than I’m used to. I also found it odd that a dinner buffet was automatically charged at check-in as a mandatory cost. Despite those issues, we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay and a good family experience.
