Go Hotels Plus Tuguegarao

There are lots of food options nearby, and the room was spacious and well maintained. It’s only a five-minute drive to the airport, with a free shuttle. They also have lockers if you arrive early and want to go explore the city.

Right across from Robinsons Mall, so the location is great. I had a big king superior room. The shower head didn’t work properly, and there was moisture beneath the room’s plastic tiles. I hope it isn’t mold.

Customer service was poor. I booked a Superior Room with one bed through Agoda, based on the picture, but at check-in the front desk said Agoda had booked a twin bed. My confirmation said Superior Room. They told me to contact Agoda, but since Agoda and GoHotels work together, I expected GoHotels to sort out the mix-up instead of sending me back to the customer service channel. The front desk also said this had happened several times before, yet nothing had been done to fix it.

The free airport shuttle is a nice extra. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a good bed, shower, and AC. The hotel seems modeled on the IBIS and Mercure style, and it’s great to see that kind of place in Tuguegarao. We arrived in the early evening and realized I’d booked the wrong night. The woman at reception was excellent and helped arrange a room for us. Everyone we met, including the security guards at the front door, was very good. I’ve stayed in many 5-star hotels, and this staff stood out. It’s clearly well run.
