ZEN Rooms Balai Mestizo Vigan

It’s really cheap compared with other hotels, and that was the main reason I liked staying here 😅. Bring everything you need, though, since there aren’t amenities. You can get hot water. My room seemed like the best one: big, clean, and with a bathtub, but I could hear the parking lot and chickens. It’s a bit away from the main street. I tried walking and got lost, and it was way too hot out. A tricycle to the main street isn’t expensive. The road by the river gets very dark at night, so you can’t really go out then. The staff member was kind and gentle. He helped me check out at 4am and called a tricycle for me early in the morning.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and there’s plenty of space around the place. We got the Nakem Room on the ground floor, which had its own shower, so we didn’t have to leave the room. Some rooms don’t have an in-room shower. Staff were friendly, and Calle Crisologo is nearby.

Close to the Heritage area, and I enjoyed my short stay at Balia Mestizo. My room was bigger than a lot of hotel rooms I’ve had, and it was clean and tidy. Towels and free Wi-Fi were included. There was boiling water and a fridge freezer in the open-plan kitchen, plus a shared toilet with a big shower.

A really quiet place that felt like home, close to the attractions too. My room was affordable and spacious, including the bathroom. Towels and amenities are available, just ask at the front desk.
