The night shift receptionist was the worst part for me. She was extremely rude, and her attitude made an already disappointing stay even harder. I also saw a front desk staff member lying down there in pajamas. The desk staff came across as unprofessional, and there was no warm welcome or real hospitality. I don't know whether the owner knows how the staff behave, but the lack of management and training was obvious to me. The photos online gave a completely different impression. The hotel was untidy and poorly maintained in person. The TV didn't work, and there were no complimentary bottles of water. For the rate they charged, everything felt careless and cheap. I've stayed at less expensive places with much more professional, accommodating service. I booked directly without looking at reviews, which was my mistake. Their policy said rooms had to have two guests, so I had to pay extra for an additional person, even though there were two of us and the extra person was only visiting. I had no choice at the time. I've stayed in plenty of hotels here and abroad, and this was the worst experience I've had. Don't stay here, you'll regret it.

The towels were dirty and need replacing, and there was no bottled water or working room phone. I also found the room uncomfortable for a longer stay because it had no chair. The hotel looks old and needs proper maintenance. Given the price, I expected better service and basic amenities. Management should improve the cleanliness and make the rooms more comfortable for guests.

The noise made it hard to rest: I could hear people walking in the hallway through the unsoundproofed rooms, and the cleaners played music loudly. The lights also kept flickering. The front desk staff weren't accommodating, and the lobby couch was dirty. Cleanliness was about 5/10. I saw a cockroach, and the towels were so worn and old that I didn't use them. There was a period with no water at all, so I couldn't use the toilet. The room itself was somewhat decent, but those issues were hard to overlook. They also charge extra for things like staining a bedsheet or arriving before check-in time. For the money, I'd rather stay somewhere else.

At 11 PM, loud music from the café next door came straight into the room because it wasn't soundproof. I tried reception by phone, but there were no instructions telling me which number to dial, so I went downstairs to complain. Only then did they speak to the neighbor. There was no complimentary bottled water. Guests had to refill from the hallway dispenser, but its cold setting didn't work and the water was only lukewarm. The room was poorly equipped too: no bedside table or fridge, a noisy air conditioner, and a very thin blanket. The soap was so dry it wouldn't lather. There was no elevator, so I had to use the stairs to and from the third floor. My stay at Two Seasons Hotel in Zamboanga City was very disappointing and uncomfortable, and didn't feel worth the price.

A good, affordable place in town if all you need is a clean bed, a cool, quiet, cozy room, and a complete bathroom set with a heated shower. Boss Pares and Grills, which serves halal food, is nearby, as is WhyChicken Zamboanga.
