Magpie Lodge

The mountain setting was the first thing that stayed with me: Magpie Lodge sits among thick pine forests, with stunning views. We got to enjoy Thandiani in rainy, cloudy weather, with mist over the mountains and crisp air that made a lovely break from the summer heat. We were a family of seven visiting in August and booked two rooms. My brother and his wife had one, while my parents, husband, 6-year-old son, and I fit comfortably in a spacious suite. It felt like a home away from home, and my parents especially loved how restful and cozy it was. The staff made us feel welcome and looked after throughout the stay. They arranged a live barbecue dinner for us, a memorable evening under the mountain sky, and both the food and service exceeded our expectations. The regular food was delicious too. They also took us on a guided hike, which was a wonderful way to see the natural beauty around the lodge. Magpie Lodge brought together a peaceful setting, home-like comfort, and warm, personal hospitality. We highly recommend it for a family mountain retreat.

Mr Sajid, the manager, really stood out for his professionalism and courtesy, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The staff took care of all the little details. Magpie Lodge was clean throughout and beautifully maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that helped us unwind from the moment we arrived. We had an amazing stay and would gladly recommend it to anyone wanting a calm, clean, welcoming retreat.

The road is under construction for about 20 mins, but the rest of the route is clear. It was a lovely stay at this family run lodge. The host was sweet, the facility is great, and each room is laid out to give you privacy.

Evenings beneath the stars felt magical, and the whole place was peaceful and rejuvenating. Magpie Lodge is tucked into the hills of Thandiani, with lovely views and quiet surroundings that make it easy to relax. The rooms are beautifully done and the beds are comfortable. The staff were polite, attentive, and helpful. We appreciated the thoughtful touches around the lodge, and the clean, tasty food had a home-cooked feel. Picking fresh plums and apricots right from the trees was an especially delicious treat. Highly recommend if you're after comfort, nature, and tranquility together.
