The Grand Regency

This was my third visit, and the food is what I like most. It tastes good and comes in enough quantity to fill you right up. The rooms are good too, though the bathroom cleanliness is pretty average and needs improvement. Still, a good experience overall.

The staff deserve five stars: they're really helpful, accommodating, and polite. The room had plenty of furniture, and the fridge came in handy in the hot weather. But the prices are high for the service, and I wouldn't say it's worth the money. This is a decent middle category place in Bahawalpur, neither the best nor the worst. The guest rooms sit alongside multipurpose halls and a restaurant, so it gets busy through most of the evening and into the night. Our room was beside the kitchen and noisy until midnight or maybe a little later, though the morning was peaceful. The rooms are relatively clean but dated, with old furnishings and very old ACs. The flat screen TVs had poor reception, and Wi-Fi wasn't equally good across the property. Towels were worn, and the bathroom walls looked dated and dirty. The sink pipe was broken and leaked, spraying used water onto our legs whenever we used it. Flies got into the room and were hard to get out. There was an automatic air freshener that would ideally have been replaced with an insect killer.

Their continental food is really good, and I love the taste. They also have rooms for visitors and a conference Hall, and you can hold a birthday party there.

Highly recommended for eating in or taking away. We only tried the food here, not the rooms.
