Grand Regency

I stayed from February 5 to 6, 2026. It was peaceful, maybe a little too peaceful since I seemed to be the only guest. Perhaps that was because it was Thursday. The receptionist said it was more of a corporate hotel, with teams staying there. The location was good and quiet, with a park alongside the hotel, though there weren't any shops or restaurants nearby. From the south-facing windows, the view was okay, looking out at the road towards islmabad and part of the park. The room was clean and simple. My sister and I had separate beds, two sofa chairs, and another sofa by the window. There was a bathroom with amenities, and heated water was available at least in the morning. The bed sheets were frustratingly short. Each single bed had sockets on both sides, and there was also a table, chair, and mirror. Security felt lackluster. No one checked me coming in or out, even at 1 in the morning, and the metal detector arch wasn't working. We didn't use room service. When we called once to have our baggage taken downstairs, nobody picked up, though we'd already told room service about it during breakfast. Breakfast was the usual out-of-the-house spread: chanay ka salan, aaloo tarkari, parathay, halwa, poori, chai, Tang juice, white and bran bread, a toaster, and a bowl of jam. The double room cost 18000 PKR, plus 20% tax, making it Rs. 21,600 for the night. For that, I found it overpriced.
