Ramada by Wyndham Karachi Creek

For seven days in an executive king suite, the experience was decent in some ways. The location felt safe and traffic was light. Security staff were respectful and very responsive. But the quality didn’t match the rates, even though the room square footage compares with Karachi’s other top four, PC/Marriott/Avari/Movenpick. I wish “cheap isn't good, good isn't cheap” applied here. There were a lot of issues. One of the two elevators was always out of service, breakfast was ordinary, the valet was hit or miss, and the front desk staff seemed incompetent. The suite’s outlets were badly designed, loose, and unreliable, so I had to unplug the bedside lamps to charge devices. The hair dryer had a fixed cord about three feet long and didn’t always work. Water leaked from the standing shower onto the floor, and my shower knob had duct tape on it :) Housekeeping didn’t reliably follow the “please clean room” hanger. In my experience, eight to ten hours could pass before I had to call.

The pool was relaxing and well maintained, and the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice with excellent food. Ramada Plaza Karachi Airport Hotel also made travel easy, just a few minutes from the airport. My room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, with modern amenities. Staff were polite, professional, and ready to help. It felt peaceful and secure, with top-notch service. I’d recommend it for business or leisure.

I especially liked the peaceful little area at the back, with a pool where fish and tortoises were present. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were welcoming and polite, especially at dinner. The food was good too. I had a very pleasant, relaxing stay.

For the price, amenities, location, architecture, and service, it’s okay compared with its competitors. The rooms could definitely be improved, though. I know nothing may come of saying it, but the prices are too high and should come down. Repeat customers and loyal consumers should be appreciated with special deals and discounts just for them.
