The staff made a strong impression on me. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful, and whenever I made a request they took care of it. Their service was better than at some 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. The decor is lovely throughout, with stylish room lighting and furniture, and the hotel has a nice ambiance. The building itself isn’t very big, though. My room was a nice, normal-sized one with a comfortable mattress, good pillows, and a nice bathroom, but no bathtub. The air conditioning worked well but was very loud, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature from inside the room. I didn’t tell the staff during my three-day stay, though, and they would have adjusted it for me. Fruit and water were complimentary every day. The shower and cubicle were excellent, and the bathroom had every amenity plus lovely conatural products. The sink tap looked like it was a century old, but everything else was in reasonable condition. The soundproofing was great, so outside noise didn’t disturb me. Breakfast and dinner were good overall, though I found the extensive bread section only average. The breakfast menu changed daily, so I didn’t get bored over the three days. Saad ullah at the omelette station was amazing. I’m rarely impressed by live omelette stations, but his omelettes had the perfect color and consistency, were fluffy, and tasted great. The only parking option is valet, which I don’t like because it’s a whole process and I prefer to park myself. The pool was very small but indoors, and the temperature control worked well. The gym was also a bit small, and there was no designated ladies’ time, so I couldn’t use it. I’d also suggest room key cards for the elevators that access the rooms, for better security. Even with those drawbacks, I’d choose this branch of The Nishat Hotel again if I had the option.

I had an easy, stress-free check-in at The Nishat Gulberg, thanks in large part to Irfan. He communicated really well throughout and was proactive, professional, and clearly cared about the guest experience. That kind of attentive service is rare. Highly recommended!

This Nishat feels more comfortable than its larger Lahore sibling, though it’s a little small and spartan by comparison. The lobby is comfy, and the rooms have a clean, pleasant look. Staff are super friendly and professional. Breakfast had more variety than I expected and tasted pretty good. The location is convenient too, with restaurants and shops along the surrounding streets within walking distance.

By Day 2, the staff had owned up to the problems we raised and fixed them. Breakfast was really good, and the team were interactive and helpful. I appreciated seeing that they cared about customer feedback and made an effort to put things right. We’ll definitely be back in December 2026, and I’m looking forward to it. I came to Pakistan after 8 yrs for a mother-daughter trip, and friends and family who’d stayed at this location over the past few years had highly recommended the hotel. My husband had booked and wired payment for our first night already. I planned to decide how many more days to stay once I arrived, since I also have family here. I walked in with positive expectations. The lobby ambience was lovely, and the staff member who greeted us outside was very helpful. Check-in around 3 pm was where things started to go wrong. I’d requested twin beds and was paying a pretty penny for an executive twin room, but apparently arranging twin beds wasn’t easy and our assigned room wasn’t ready. I heard staff discussing room 14xx, then there was another room meant for someone else, with staff going back and forth. Someone then offered an upgrade if I paid the difference. Since the room I’d requested wasn’t ready, I didn’t think I should pay extra for the upgrade. I stayed calm and asked them to get me the room I’d booked. Eventually they said room 12xx was ready, so we moved from the 4th floor to the 2nd. No worries about that. The person checking us in asked how long we’d stay. I said I’d check out on the 31st, two nights, but the paper he printed for me to sign said three. I asked him to correct it. They charged my credit card for both nights and took a security deposit, which I was told would be returned in cash at checkout. I’d forgotten my husband had already wired the first night’s payment, after travelling and with jet lag. The person at check-in told us breakfast hours, but I wasn’t sure whether breakfast was included. There was no apology for the room confusion. The staff member who showed us to the room was kind, helpful, and courteous. I was still trying to stay positive, but the bathroom didn’t look very clean and had a strange smell. As we left, I asked the front desk to clean it while we were out, and they had access to the room. We returned 6 hrs later and it hadn’t been touched. I then mentioned to my husband that they should only have charged for one more night because he’d already paid for the first; he reminded me about the payment. The room temperature was set and couldn’t be adjusted, so if I felt cold I’d have to call staff to bring an extra heater. I wasn’t even sure whether there were extra blankets. This was tedious, and not what I expected. I hoped I’d get a clean bathroom and an extra blanket that night so I could sleep well. That’s all you really ask for. At the end of Day 1, I was still waiting to see how breakfast and the second night would go.

I usually write reviews only after a very good or very bad stay, and this one was definitely bad. When I went into my room after check-in, I found another guest already in it. That’s a serious failure in security and internal procedures. I went back to reception; no manager was available, but the staff admitted the mistake, apologized, and gave me a different room. The replacement room seemed fine until bedtime. They’d pushed two single beds, or two mattresses, together and covered them with one sheet to make a king bed. The join was uncomfortable, and a gap opened between the mattresses during the night. I slept badly. The next day I spoke with the hotel manager, who apologized and upgraded my room. That room was fine until 3am the following night, when a picture fell off the wall with a crash and startled me awake. It had been stuck up with tape, as the photos show. I told the staff again, and they apologized again. I may have been unlucky, and other guests seem to have had better stays. Still, better management, policies, and procedures could have prevented every one of these problems. Being handed a key card to an occupied room was especially disturbing, and left me feeling my safety was compromised. The service was good and the staff were apologetic throughout, but I won’t stay again. I have one more night here and will be glad to leave.
