Hotel Islamabad Premier Inn Murree

It’s inexpensive, with friendly staff and parking, and Mall Road is only a 5 to 7 minute walk away. Hot water was available, and there are attached twin rooms. The rooms were good, though management should pay attention to the mattresses. People have their own standards for budget and service, but I’d rate the pricing as inexpensive.

The room had a nice view, but we barely got to enjoy it. We left earlier than planned after a deeply disappointing one-night stay with my family. The sheets and blankets were dirty and stained, and the replacements still looked dirty and used. The room was only a little warm, then the radiator was switched off during the night, so we woke up to a freezing room. There was no warm water in the morning despite what we’d been promised. The snowy entrance was slippery and dangerous, and amenities were very basic, with no water and an old TV with poor reception. I wouldn’t return or recommend it to families, especially in winter or when it’s snowing.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I stayed with my family and was really disappointed. The room was spacious, but untidy, with stained, dirty sheets and a strange smell. The bathroom commode hadn’t been washed properly, and the towel left there was dirty and used. They said at booking that we’d have warm water all day, but that wasn’t true. There’s no intercom, so you have to go to reception yourself whenever you need to ask something.

The restaurant serves tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner, either in the dining area or through room service. Its prices were affordable compared with other Murree restaurants, and covered parking during snowfall was a real plus. The hotel has steam central heating and hot and cold water during snowy days. Staff attitude, service and location are good. I’d suggest choosing a ground or first floor room, rather than the cheaper basement rooms.
