Green Village Resort

The service was outstanding, and we really enjoyed our stay at this fresh, green resort. Mornings were especially peaceful and lovely, with beautiful scenery and plenty of nature around. A place worth visiting for some peace and pleasure.

They do a great job looking after guests. The team is organized and plans things well, with visitors coming from all over Pakistan.

The lawns looked lovely, but ropes kept people off them, so there was nowhere to sit and enjoy the view. Getting around was awkward too, especially with kids: the rooftop restaurant meant climbing steel stairs and then two more floors, and the steps down from the rooms weren’t kid friendly. The staff and management weren’t very helpful, basically saying this was all they could offer. We left after one day. The newer so-called Standard Plus rooms in Pine lodge weren’t comfortable enough, even though the window view was nice, people walked right in front of it. We looked at the Executive suite plus rooms, but they seemed designed for larger groups or families. The Standard and Executive rooms in the old building were gloomy and needed proper upkeep. The stay was just OK. The photos may show a good resort from 2-3 years ago, but that’s not how it felt now. The view was the only real highlight.

On my first trip to Kashmir, Green Village was the best spot in Upper Neelam. Omar uncle made us feel very secure, and all the staff treated us well. The service was really good, the food tasted great, and the view was lovely. It’s peaceful and private for families. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Kashmir.
