We paid PKR 14,000 for one night at Lalazar Hotel & Restaurant, but basic things like refreshments and Wi-Fi weren’t available. The trouble started after we used the kitchen for about 30 minutes to cook. Staff questioned us aggressively and even talked about calling the police over it. Then reception unexpectedly asked for another PKR 3,000 for kitchen use, a charge nobody had told us about in advance. The reception staff were rude and disrespectful, and treated us as if we were staying for free even though we’d paid in full. The service and hospitality were extremely poor. They need to improve how staff deal with guests and be transparent about charges.

The room was just okay, and the mattress and pillows weren’t clean. They said the geysers would be on from 5 a.m. to noon, but even at 5:30 there was no hot water, despite our calling. On the last night, the bathroom ventilator was accidentally closed and the smell made the room very difficult to stay in.

Our first room felt too small, but the staff quickly moved us to a much larger, better one. After that, the stay was very comfortable, and the peaceful, beautiful surroundings were lovely. The team was helpful and cooperative throughout. We had a great time at Lalazar hotel, and it felt well worth it. Highly recommended.

I’m writing this in November 2025. We stayed here in 2011, when it was a three-star hotel. I learned from the news and videos online that it caught fire a few days ago and was damaged beyond repair. Sadly.

We visited Naran in 2014. The hotel was good, and the cleaning was smooth, though food wasn’t available there. Parking was available on normal days despite the busy area. I’ve read comments from other recent visitors, though, and get the feeling the place hasn’t been maintained. I’m planning a family visit soon, so I’m not sure what to expect.
