Swat continental hotel

The room was basic, but fine for what I paid, and the small flaws were manageable at around 4,000 rupees a night. Warm water was reliably available, which made bathing comfortable. Staff were quick to help too, even when I asked for water early in the morning. For a budget stay, the service and amenities were better than I expected, and I found it good value.

The staff were fairly good and the rooms looked well presented, but there are several things that need attention. The place is noisy and the poor soundproofing made it hard to sleep or work. Some rooms smell strongly of cigarettes and have ashtrays, which isn’t pleasant if you don’t smoke. I also saw dirty mattress covers and insects. Some fridges are in poor condition, and the hotel needs investment to keep things clean and working. Bathrooms were poorly maintained, with stained toilets, blocked shower drains, and no hot water. The air conditioning was quite noisy as well.

There wasn’t proper parking, the rooms weren’t good enough, and the fans don’t run on the generator. Nothing about the place felt positive overall.

The restaurant has a varied menu and the shower worked fine, with hot water too. The rooms, though, are run down, and the photos don’t really show their current condition. It’s an average hotel that does the job, but hygiene could use improvement. The windows could use a good clean ;).
