Lawendowy Ogród

Good food, and it didn’t cost much.

Dinner was tasty, with generous portions and an average choice of dishes. Prices are reasonable, and there’s free parking behind the building, though it’s muddy and a bit of a mess. As a place to eat and stay the night, it’s fine for a one-off. Lawendowy Ogród is a house turned into a wedding hall, with guest rooms added later. I wouldn’t call it a hotel, motel, or guesthouse. The rooms were fairly clean, but there were long hairs everywhere. They’re cold, and I think the heating only works downstairs. A fan stands in for air conditioning. The beds are narrow and small, like summer camp beds, and the decor has the same old-fashioned feel as the rest of the room. The TV was tiny, with only five channels. The bathroom has the basics: a toilet, shower, and sink. Breakfast was meant to be a buffet and cost 40 złoty, but it was practically empty, like a typical summer camp breakfast. Luckily, there was a gas station on the way, and a hot dog saved the day.

The food was very good, traditional Polish, and the service was really friendly. We barely waited, maybe 20 minutes for the meal. Inside and out, the place is tastefully decorated, with a beautiful garden in a lovely secluded setting. A great spot for a special event or a break from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend it ♥️♥️♥️

The garden is the highlight: lots of greenery, a pond, a small playground, and a fire pit. It’s a little wild, in a nice way. We even spotted a hare or deer peeking out from the bushes. The sunsets were lovely, and the stars at night felt like being in a planetarium, only real. The owner greeted us, a friendly, capable woman, and check-in went smoothly. One bed didn’t have sheets, but a staff member sorted it out almost immediately, with a smile. Our room was spacious and tidy, a little dated but in decent shape. The bathroom was fine, and there was a small fan. The hallway had a kettle, glasses, and a cooler. We booked through a popular app without trouble, and the price was fair. Breakfast costs extra, 30 PLN, but there wasn’t much left when we arrived at the agreed time. The sausages and scrambled eggs came late and went into a shared warmer, so it was first come, first served. There’s no espresso machine, but there is a kettle upstairs if you want to make your own coffee. Would I recommend it? Yes. It’s quiet, green, and pleasant, and the women working there were kind.
