We were at Astoria in January 2026, my wife and I. The biggest letdown was the food, which was monotonous, with sausage or ham appearing at breakfast and dinner almost every day. In the dining room, only two waitresses were serving around 100 people. They somehow managed, and they deserve respect, but there were clearly too few of them. Room standards seemed to fall into two categories, 4 and 2 stars, and you might get the better one if you ask. Either way, the rooms and bathrooms need work, from repainting to replacing plumbing fixtures. The spa is privately owned, and the cost-cutting shows in the service.

I came back from a three-week NFZ stay two weeks ago, feeling happy and healthier, which is what matters most. The treatments were a real strength, with plenty available and all done on site. Sylwia and Edyta were especially dedicated, helpful, friendly, and very kind. Astoria is in a great spot, very close to the famous promenade. Meals were varied and tasty, although there could have been more fruit and vegetables, a gap that’s easy enough to make up for. What bothered me was how most of the medical staff treated patients. Some were rude, hostile, and at times even arrogant. There also wasn’t a place like a small café where patients could sit and chat. Instead, clothing, cosmetics, and food “fairs” kept taking place, and the trade seemed to be doing well.

Thank you, Ms. Edytka, for putting so much heart into your work and creating such a warm, kind, and supportive atmosphere. The water gymnastics sessions were full of energy, professionalism, and smiles. They were good rehabilitation, but also gave us motivation, joy, and a real lift. We appreciated your patience, commitment, and the way you treated each participant individually. You made the water a place for movement, health, and positive energy. Your work brings to mind the words, “Whatever you do, do it with all your might...” (Colossians 3:23). With gratitude, from the patients. 💙

The room was spacious, had a balcony, and was spotless. It was cleaned three times a week, and the staff were great. My husband and I stayed at Astori in September, in the new part on the third floor. The meals were good and varied, and the dining room staff were very polite. Nobody went hungry. The treatments were chosen really well. I especially recommend pool exercises with Edyta, she’s amazing, and the inflatables with Sylwia. I did miss having a large communal pool for swimming and somewhere for guests to spend time together.

The treatments were on site and we enjoyed them. The physiotherapists were very nice, and Magda was my favorite. She was in the whirlpool during our session, and I liked going to her because she was so kind. The pool exercises were great, too. Afterward we had plenty of time for walks in the park across the street. My husband and I had a very happy stay and would gladly come back. We stayed from October 2nd to 23rd. On arrival there was a long queue for room assignments and to see the doctor, who was very nice. We got a room in the older part of the building. It was a bit worn but fine, clean, and simple. The dining hall felt cramped with so many people, so meals were served in two shifts. The food was tasty but a little repetitive. Staff hurried to get the second shift seated and cleared dishes right under our noses, which I didn’t like.
