There are regular events here, and the noise that comes with them is a problem. Breakfast was poor, and the coffee was even worse. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, but I wouldn’t want to. The staff seem new and unsure of their jobs, and appear to have been left to manage on their own. There was often no receptionist, no hot water, and the linens were dirty. For those prices, the standard doesn’t justify calling this a hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels and resorts, but I’ve never been this disappointed or disgusted. I don’t recommend it.

The hotel was about what you’d expect in this price range, but a few small things let it down. We had to wait a few minutes for the hot water, there was some toilet paper left in the bathroom, and the room had no glasses or fridge. I skipped breakfast, so I can’t comment on the restaurant.

For the first 24 hours there was no hot water at all, and noise carried on late into the night. Later the water worked, but you had to wait a few minutes for it to get hot. The coffee was poor, and breakfast wasn’t great either, though it did taste good. The reception desk was often empty, with only a vague note from the “owner” saying to look for the receptionist at the back of the restaurant. Apparently she also handles cleaning, cooking, laundry, and reception. I wouldn’t be surprised if minor repairs and knitting were on her list too. I booked because of the “hotel” name and market price, but the place falls well short of what I expect from a hotel. Most guesthouses are better. I’m embarrassed that a place like this exists in the 21st century and calls itself a “hotel.”

My husband and I spent a lovely week here. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Our room was clean and warm, the restaurant food was delicious, and breakfast was generous. Prices were attractive for this standard. We’ll definitely return.
