We were disappointed as soon as we arrived. We had booked the studio with a city view, but it was on the ground floor right by the street, beside the main entrance door, so it was noisy. The bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that we couldn't air out. The room was hot, but we didn't feel safe leaving the windows open overnight with the sidewalk right next to them. It was cute enough inside, but didn't look like the advertised photos, which were probably of other apartments in the building. The location was good, with shops, restaurants, and the old city centre nearby. Our main concern was that we felt we'd been sold something different, both for the view and interior, and we couldn't choose an apartment when booking. If you stay in this residence, avoid the studio if you have a choice, and take the other reviews into account. Fortunately, we reached the host, who offered us a discount because of the misleading advertisement and bad smell.

The only real drawback was the cold at night, which made sleeping less comfortable. Otherwise, we enjoyed our four days in this Gdansk flat. It was clean, well equipped, and cozy enough to feel like home, with local sights and amenities easy to reach. We'd recommend it, though you might want to bring an extra blanket just in case.

The room was nice and the location very good. The TV turning itself on was frustrating, and in the middle of the night it was scary enough to nearly give me a heart attack 🙈. There was also an odd thing with the key: it opened both the apartment and the main door, so I'm unsure whether every guest has the same key and access to all the apartments in the building.

Less than an hour before check-in, they canceled our booking without contacting us, apologizing, or offering another option. Booking.com suggested a much smaller place that didn't suit us, so we had to pay more for somewhere else. The host won't refund the difference, leaving us out of pocket. Outrageous service. Avoid.

Our booking was canceled by the host just 30 minutes before check-in, leaving us without anywhere to stay in a foreign city. They didn't even send a message to apologize or help us find another place. This is unreliable, and I don't recommend it.
