Baltico Studio Apartment

The apartment is pleasantly furnished and fairly well equipped, though I missed having waste-sorting bins and enough dishes for a dishwasher load. The big north-facing balcony has patio furniture, and it never gets too sunny during the day. The estate is new and built to a high standard, with an indoor gym. Nearby there are three Żabka shops, a Biedronka, two bakeries, a pizzeria, an ATM, and tram and bus stops. The location has trade-offs. It’s by a major junction and tram line, and at night the noise with the windows open was too much for us. There’s no air conditioning. The TV has a Netflix app, as the listing said, but you have to pay for platform access yourself. The promised toiletries weren’t there either. Cleanliness and the way Zojka-Rent Aparatmenty handled my complaint were the main problems. I found dishcloth marks and quite a lot of dark hairs on the kitchen cabinet doors, grease on the wall by the stove and on the sugar and flour jars, a thick layer of sticky dirt, an unwashed shower enclosure and faucet (the shower tray itself was clean), and a coffee machine that hadn’t been cleaned. I sent photos and reported the cleanliness and missing toiletries on arrival. An employee replied that everyone has their own sense of aesthetics, that the property had been cleaned, including the bathroom, and that toiletries would be brought the next day if the cleaning service had missed them. When I brought up the shower enclosure, he insisted it had been cleaned. I asked the cleaning company to deal with it when they came with the toiletries. They never came, but the employee did visit about the broken TV. He looked at the shower, jars, and grease-splattered walls, then said he’d report it to the cleaning company. I got no answer when I asked about my complaint on day five, so I asked again two days later. I was told my objection about the cleaning after the visit hadn’t been addressed, but I would still get a refund for preparing the property. We did get the cleaning fee back, but only after long, completely unnecessary discussions. I could have lived with the dirty jars, grease marks, and other flaws; the denial of the shower’s actual condition left me astonished. The toiletries and report to the cleaning company were promised, then never delivered. I don’t use coffee machines, and if my son hadn’t looked inside on the third day, it might have gone moldy. We cleaned it for the next guests and let Zojka know, but got no thanks. Too bad. The employee came by the day we reported the TV wasn’t working. Before that, I’d been told it must have stopped because I had definitely pressed buttons on the remote. I wasn’t pressing buttons carelessly, and the employee couldn’t turn it on either, so the problem was probably external. After 2-3 days it started working again without us doing anything. I don’t know whether he reported the service outage to the provider, since nobody told us what action they took. Two weeks later, I rented from another company in Wrocław. They handled a report about missing equipment completely differently.
