The room had a lovely vintage feel, warm and cute, and it was spotless. Staff were really friendly too. You couldn't ask for a better spot, right beside Neptune Fountain in the historic centre, in a 16th-century building. My only small gripe was the 10am checkout. That feels early to me, though maybe that's just me.

The breakfast was excellent, fresh from the bakery, and the staff were lovely. The hotel is beautiful and right in the centre.

There was noise from the karaoke bar, and lots of drunk people around.

The hotel itself is quaint, but Gdansk has been spoiled by rowdy groups of drunk people carrying on until 4am, plus a nearby nightclub blasting music past 2. I'm a light sleeper, so I'd look further out of town. It's not the hotel's fault, but the entertainment business seems to encourage behaviour that does nothing for the city's charm.
