Heron Live Hotel

The restaurant staff really stood out: friendly, welcoming, attentive, hardworking and professional. I’ve never had better service anywhere. They’re a real credit to the hotel. The food was delicious, and the restaurant had a pleasant, relaxing feel. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake, a proper coffee machine, minibar and air conditioning. I can’t really fault the accommodation. It is expensive, though no more than other five-star hotels. Recommended.

The spa and the hotel’s setting are beautiful, and the room was thoughtfully arranged with everything working well. All the staff were extremely kind. Breakfast was amazing, with a generous selection and a few lovely extra touches. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. I’d absolutely recommend it, and we’ll be back.

The food was probably my favorite part: fresh ingredients, homemade items, original recipes and local produce, all delicious. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, and has the luxury and elegance you’d expect from a five-star place. You’re greeted by a hotel employee as soon as you come in. The pool area has an amazing view, and the spa feels soothing, with someone on each floor to help if needed. The rooms are also to a very high standard, like everything else. It’s a great choice for a weekend away. Remember to take in the moment.

We celebrated our anniversary, and the place is beautiful and well kept. My requests made in advance were handled well, and the hotel left flowers, chocolate and champagne as a gift. The room was clean and good, and the food at both restaurants was good too. The pricing is fair, apart from the drinks, which are massively overpriced. I did expect more from a five-star hotel when it came to luggage and showing us the room and facilities. The service we got felt mechanical, with no warmth or enjoyment in it. There wasn’t much imagination in the room design either. And the lake isn’t as blue as it looks in the photos, it’s more on the muddy side.
