I asked at the bar what beer they had, but got no answer. They just told me to take a seat. After I’d waited at the table, the waitress brought over a mug and said, “Here’s your beer.” Only then did I find out they serve Czech beer only. I felt pushed into drinking something I hadn’t ordered. I’ve never had anyone force an order on me like that, so my opinion of the restaurant service is very negative. Management should expand the selection and train the staff in basic customer service.

At least the kids were happy with the nagetsy and fries, which were okay. The rest of the food was disappointing. Everything seemed underseasoned, and the Hungarian pancake was especially bland. I got only half a cup of coffee and no sugar; the iced coffee tasted like water with a faint bitter coffee flavor, though it was meant to come with ice and whipped cream. The salmon pasta and grilled salmon were both average. The duck salad didn’t have much flavor either, and felt like grass with meat. Sadly, this was our first and last visit.

We’re here a dozen or so times a year for the mountain views, and the restaurant’s location is lovely. Today’s pork knuckle with cabbage and new potatoes with dill was delicious, so tender it melted in your mouth. We enjoyed the chicken breast just as much.
