We’ll stay here again if we return to Karpacz. The owner was kind and ready to help, while still giving guests their privacy. The apartment sits behind a beautiful old villa, and worked well for a family of two. It was spotless, with fresh towels and linens, and the bathroom and toilet are separate. The kitchen has what you need for cooking, though with so many restaurants around we mostly made breakfast and dinner. There are lots of TV channels, including cartoons for rainy days 😉, but the WiFi was slow and could be better. Even in midsummer, it was heated in the mornings and evenings. The location is a little away from the busiest route but still near the main promenade. You can reach it by a path along the stream, and the Wild Waterfall (Dziki Wodospad) and Kopa ski lift are also close.

The owner was incredibly kind, and the place was clean and tidy. Everything we needed was there. I recommend it.

The building itself was fine, but the owner's attitude toward guests was another matter. We arrived for a weekend with small children and spent the first night freezing. I figured these things happen and politely asked for the heating to be turned up a little. He answered just as politely that the whole house was on one central heating circuit and he slept at 18°C. If I wanted it warmer, I’d have to pay extra. He eventually gave in, but the unpleasant feeling from that exchange stayed with us for the rest of the stay.

There were some nice things: a good price, clean bedding, a convenient location, and the stream you could hear with the door open. But the bathroom had mildew and the humidity was very high, so be aware if that affects you. We were traveling with a one-month-old baby, and as we were already taking our things out, the owner came in at 10:02 and tactlessly made us feel we should leave, then take the trash out ourselves. I don’t know if that’s standard, but when I pay for a stay I expect cleaning to be included. The stay was enjoyable, thankfully it was very short.

The ARUM apartment had everything we expected, and the kitchen was especially well supplied: dishwasher, fridge, kettle, induction hob, and plenty of dishes. The furniture and bedding were good quality, and the place felt fresh and clean. We were close to the promenade, and could relax to the distant sound of a stream. I recommend it!
