We spent several days here, June 4-7, and it was an exceptionally unpleasant stay. After reading through a long list of rules, many of them prohibitions, we were asked to pay the tax in cash with no receipt, or leave the money in the key box. The place lived up to its name in the worst way: mold on the carpets, a torn bed patched with tiles, and no towels unless you pay extra. I hope this helps other travelers avoid the same experience. There are plenty of places to stay in Karpacz and nearby.

Mine was a very poor room, though the others may be different. It was small, with a bed, wardrobe, table, two chairs and a TV. The bathroom was cramped enough that a family with a child might struggle, and there was dampness on the windows.

It was warm, and having parking and a place to grill were nice. The rooms, though, felt very old and neglected. The doors didn’t shut properly, the shower had issues, and there were no towels. The kitchen was too small for the number of guests, so even making tea meant waiting, never mind cooking. The walls were thin enough that we could hear neighbors using the toilet. We stayed four days, with check-in at 4 PM and checkout at 10 AM, so six hours of the booking were taken up by those times. The price matched the service, and the place was interesting enough, but I’d pay a bit more for a more comfortable villa. It wasn’t all bad, but I wouldn’t return.

I was worried after reading some of the reviews, but the room turned out clean and comfortable. It had two beds and enough space to move around, even with our large bags stacked beside the wardrobe. The bathroom wasn’t cramped, and the kitchen was spacious and well equipped. There’s a shop nearby. Walking to the center takes a while, though I knew that from the information provided. We enjoyed the stay. We didn’t meet the owners, so I can’t speak to what other reviewers said about them. Best wishes to the owners.
