Hotel Dal Kielce

The location is great, only a five-minute walk from the central square and its restaurants. The hotel also has a map of local attractions and rents out bicycles and walking sticks. It’s neat, and while some furniture is old, everything was clean and the beds comfortable. I recommend getting breakfast: there’s a really generous selection and warm bread. The coffee could be better.

The staff were very helpful, from the friendly gentleman at reception to the nice restaurant service. We arrived quite late for breakfast, but they still cooked it especially for us. The room had tea and coffee facilities, a sewing kit, and shoe polishing wipes. There’s a small grocery shop across the street and a popular nightclub next door. It’s a good three-star hotel in a great location near the rail and bus stations and Old Town sights, with all the amenities you’d expect for this standard.

The staff were nice, especially when we turned up early for breakfast, which earns them an extra star. I’d booked breakfast for our one-night stay, but at checkout we were told it starts at 7. On weekends it actually starts at 8, and since we had to leave early, we paid for nothing. The rooms are small, and the bathroom felt old-fashioned. The shower cabin was cracked and the air vent moldy. It feels like an old hotel or apartment building renovated a few years ago.

The breakfast was amazing, with loads of different foods to choose from, and I especially loved the scrambled eggs. The staff were very friendly and the service excellent. Great location and a comfortable room too. Really good hotel, highly recommended!
