I canceled nearly a month ahead and was told I’d get my money back for the $240 New Year charge. I followed up several times, but got neither a reply nor a refund.

An interesting spot, with friendly, helpful staff. There’s underground parking for an extra fee. It’s pretty limited, so it’s best to reserve a space.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was really tasty with plenty to choose from for 45zl. A few things let it down: the toilet seat moved, the bathtub was slippery, and music started playing every day at 7am.

The restaurant was a highlight, with a varied menu at reasonable prices, and the renovation has been done with good taste. The fitness room is pretty basic, just a couple of bikes and a large whirlpool. A small set of free weights and a couple of exercise mats would improve it. The hotel itself is small, attractive, and comfortable. Its grand exterior made me expect a five-star place, though it’s rated three stars. I stayed for two nights and would happily have stayed longer. My room was clean, in excellent condition, and good value, and the staff were friendly.

We had a quiet night and slept well, with no problems during our one-night stay. The hotel was clean and peaceful, close to the centre, and parking cost 6€. Breakfast was lovely, with a wide choice, and both receptionists were professional and easy to talk to. 5/5.
