The view and the chance to relax were lovely, and overall I had a great stay for four nights. The hotel is new, well kept, and has everything for a short or long visit. Even the tap water is filtered and drinkable. There’s a coffee machine with coffee that makes different drinks, including espresso and cappuccino. A small grocery store with lots of things is about a 19-minute walk away. The downside was noise from the unit next door or above. I was on the ground floor and couldn’t rest until around 12:40 am, when the kids finally stopped running and the adults stopped talking and laughing. I could even hear the dog running. I messaged the manager, who said she’d ask the guests to follow the 10 pm to 7 am quiet hours, but nothing changed. If you stay here, you must ask for the second floor.

I wanted to rate the place higher for the views and the house itself, but our first-night complaints went nowhere. There’s a curfew, yet nobody seems to deal with violations. Couples are put below family apartments, and with no soundproofing between floors, you hear everything. A trampoline directly in front of the balcony also makes a quiet day outside impossible. On the third night, people were shouting and running upstairs at 5 am. That’s strange for a place advertised on its website and on Airbnb/Booking as peaceful and quiet for couples. Other problems: the bed was yellowed, the shower soap came in a tiny bottle and there was no shampoo, the WiFi was bad, and wasps kept bothering us on the balcony.

Families with children should find this a nice place to stay. The cottages are well decorated, have apartments in different sizes, and there’s good parking. The kitchen and dining area had an amazing view. The kids got pretty cold, though, because the windows let in too much outside air even when closed, despite the place looking new. The kitchen could use a few more pans and other amenities. The bathroom had only soap, although the listing said there would be things like shampoo and shower gel. We didn’t ask about those. Aside from that, we were very satisfied.

We spent Christmas here as a family of five and loved the snowy holiday atmosphere. The wooden cabin had loads of space, was spotless, and felt warm and cozy around the wonderful fireplace. Even with snow falling nonstop for three days, the staff worked hard to keep the grounds clean and accessible. They were kind and very helpful.
