A historic place right in the heart of the Old Town.

We found the room and bathroom spacious, comfortable and spotless, and the kettle and hairdryer were handy to have. The central location meant we could walk to everything easily. Staff were very kind and helpful, and check-in and checkout were quick. What we saw matched the online description exactly. A great, low-stress choice for visiting Krakow, highly recommended.

The breakfast was tasty, but there seemed to be a problem every day. Staff didn't seem trained, and although we were meant to get 10 vouchers, we received two each and had to awkwardly ask for more. The wait was long, and twice staff asked us to pay for tea, apparently because the vouchers for apartment guests looked like ones from another offer. Finding the place is tricky, with an inconspicuous door beside a pastry shop, and check-in means calling the woman who gives you the keys to the building and room. Inside, the old tenement smells run-down. Our so-called apartment was a long cubicle with two single beds. It was listed as 20m², but felt smaller. The bathroom was awful: bad pipe smells, especially when the heater was on, water left standing in the shower drain, and a drain fitting that seemed to plug it instead of letting water through. The temperature was hard to set, a tiny movement of the tap could mean freezing or boiling water, and even after finding a comfortable setting it could suddenly turn cold. The tea and coffee setup was just a kettle and two mugs, with no tea bags. The TV didn't work, there was no Wi-Fi information, and the key stuck in the inside of the door lock.
